Summary

Adobe acquired India-based marketing intelligence startup Rilo on September 2, 2026, through a licensing and team transaction whose terms were not disclosed. Founded in 2025 by IIT batchmates Georgi Boby and Dhruv Jaglan, Rilo raised $1 million at a $10 million valuation from PeakXV, DeVC and Day Zero Ventures. Adobe will integrate some Rilo IP and its six-member team, while investors are expected to receive an exit. Rilo will shut down, making its product unavailable to customers. This is Adobe’s second Indian acquisition after video platform Rephrase.ai in 2023. Adobe provided no details beyond confirming the deal.

Rilo enabled go-to-market teams to build custom workflows for competitor intelligence, content repurposing and distribution, and sales-call analysis, comparable to Claude Cowork and ChatGPT Work. Its technology can also automate campaign creation, deployment and tracking, convert meetings or calls into tasks, and increase brand visibility on ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude. DeVC’s Rahul Mathur sees a role in Adobe’s customer experience and marketing suite, managing complex workflows and showing customers their actions across Adobe’s platform. Day Zero Ventures managing partner Rahul Gupta said the workflow builder could improve Adobe’s productivity and customer experience. The deal follows Adobe’s $1.9 billion acquisition of SEO company Semrush in 2025, as Canva expands its marketing portfolio and Amazon, Google and Meta build AI-powered marketing infrastructure.
