Amazon Launches Android Alexa Tablets With Alexa+ and Google Play

The $229.99 Tablet 8 has an 8.7-inch display, weighs 329 grams and comes in Graphite, Rosette or Teal. Alexa+ provides voice and touch access, smart-home control and contextual On-Screen Intelligence. A new Kindle mode silences notifications, reduces blue light and extends battery life to 20 hours.
Amazon Kids bundles add 8.7-inch or 11-inch tablets, protective cases and one year of ad-free Amazon Kids+, with soft Paw Patrol or Barbie cases for ages 3+ and hard kickstand cases for ages 6+. All models reach the U.S., Mexico and Canada on October 14, 2026, then the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain on October 19. Kids tablets also launch in Japan on October 14.
