Apple Unveils $299 Apple TV 4K With A19 Chip and Hands-Free Siri AI
Apple's $299 Apple TV 4K adds an A19 chip, Siri AI, three far-field microphones, four-speaker HomePod audio and a sound-emitting remote for November 13.
Summary
Apple unveiled a $299 Apple TV 4K on October 13, 2026, with an A19 chip for AI features and three far-field microphones that accept direct Siri commands without the remote or a paired HomePod. It supports four-speaker surround sound when used with HomePod mini 2 or HomePod 2 speakers. The upgraded remote includes a speaker, allowing Siri and Find My to trigger an audible locator instead of relying solely on the app-based directions introduced in 2023.
Updated Siri AI, now rolling out across Apple platforms, brings personalized recommendations and conversational discovery to Apple TV. Viewers can ask which Apple TV shows won Emmy Awards this year or where Pluribus was filmed. Google and Amazon already offer AI content suggestions. The first Apple TV 4K refresh since the 2022 model was planned for 2024, but delays to AI-powered Siri also postponed new home devices. Preorders opened October 13, with availability scheduled for November 13.
