Patel proposed repeating races 10 times to test reliability and safe stopping. He said one nail task could require 100,000 simulations, visual training data remain costly, and algorithms must improve before robots can generalize for eight-hour shifts in random environments. Humanoid companies drew more than $6 billion in 2025 as Chinese deployments accelerated. Boston Dynamics and Agility Robotics are expanding US factory and warehouse commercialization, while the US has banned foreign-made robot imports, including leading Chinese humanoids. Researchers dispute humanoids’ necessity because other robot forms already work productively; Patel develops task-switching software for varied robots.
