Summary

Estonia based Blackwall raised $100 million at a $2.2 billion valuation on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, quadrupling its value since its 2025 fundraise, executive chairman Roi Carthy said. AVP led the Series C, joined by existing investors Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures and Tera Ventures. Rather than compete directly with Cloudflare, Akamai and Imperva, Blackwall supplies customizable, white label security tools to hosting, cloud and managed service providers, which set prices, retain client relationships and share revenue with Blackwall. A free tier displays network traffic and threats, while protection and remediation tools are paid.

CEO and co-founder Nikita Rozenberg said Blackwall combines threat intelligence, certificate management, DDoS protection and traffic routing with digital fingerprinting that identifies request software such as Microsoft Office or Codex. Its endpoint AI models distinguish legitimate visitors and human directed AI agents from malicious bots, intruders, botnets, scrapers and disruptive requests. Rozenberg expects agents transacting for users to create demand for access, authorization and payment controls. Cloudflare’s AI Crawl Control already lets websites permit, block or charge individual crawlers, but Blackwall argues its channel model keeps those services and customers with hosting providers. The funding will support more security tools and expansion across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

Positives

  • $100 million in Series C funding gives Blackwall capital to expand products and operations across four global regions.
  • The $2.2 billion valuation is four times Blackwall’s valuation at its 2025 fundraise.
  • Hosting, cloud and managed service providers can customize Blackwall’s components, set prices and retain their customer relationships.
  • Digital fingerprinting and endpoint AI models distinguish legitimate users and agents from malicious or disruptive traffic.
  • A free tier gives providers visibility into network traffic and threats before they purchase protection tools.

Risks & concerns

  • DDoS attacks, botnet farms, scraping, malicious requests and rogue AI agents are increasing pressure on websites and infrastructure providers.
  • Cloudflare’s AI Crawl Control already allows websites to block individual AI crawlers or charge them for access.
  • Blackwall operates alongside larger security companies Cloudflare, Akamai and Imperva in a valuable but difficult market.
  • Reliable agent transactions will require unresolved access, authorization and payment controls.
