Summary

Activision and Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is billed as launching on GeForce NOW on Oct. 22, 2026, although the release list dates it Oct. 23 in the Call of Duty app. Its campaign follows rookie South Korean soldier Private Park and outlaw Captain Price across Korea, New York, Paris, Mumbai and occupied territory. Multiplayer has 12 core 6v6 maps, while DMZ adds extraction missions centered on technology recovery and exit timing. Ultimate members get ray tracing through GeForce RTX 5080-class cloud performance on PCs, Macs, handhelds, mobile devices, browsers and supported TVs, without local downloads or installs.

Existing supported Fire TV Stick users can now buy one-month Performance or Ultimate memberships through Amazon billing. GeForce NOW streams supported PC games from Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, Xbox PC Game Pass, GOG and EA; its catalog has thousands of titles and more than 100 free-to-play games. Day-pass spending can be credited toward a first monthly membership. Square Enix’s FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE launched Oct. 22 on Steam, combining cinematic pixel art, Visions, stagger-based combat and Resonance attacks with cloud downloads and storage.

The Elder Scrolls Online’s second season, Echoes of Skyrim, launched Oct. 21 free for all ESO players. ESO Standard Edition owners receive the entire Greymoor Chapter, Skyrim content and Antiquities; Markarth follows Nov. 9, completing two classic zones. Solo Dungeons rework Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices, while Tamriel Tome offers free and premium reward tracks. This week’s six additions are We Were Here Tomorrow on Steam, Oct. 20; FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE on Steam, Oct. 22; Modern Warfare 4, Oct. 23; CONTROL Resonant and Crimson Desert on Epic Games Store; and Planet Zoo 2 on the Xbox app with Xbox Play Anywhere. Availability can lag store releases during onboarding.

Positives

  • GeForce RTX 5080-class performance gives Ultimate members cloud-based ray tracing across computers, mobile devices, browsers and supported TVs.
  • 12 core 6v6 maps, a global campaign and DMZ extraction mode expand Modern Warfare 4’s launch offering.
  • Existing supported Fire TV Stick users can purchase one-month Performance or Ultimate memberships directly through Amazon billing.
  • Thousands of supported games, including more than 100 free-to-play titles, can stream without local downloads, patches or updates.
  • ESO Standard Edition owners receive Greymoor, Skyrim content and the Antiquities system through Echoes of Skyrim.
  • Day-pass spending can be applied toward a first monthly GeForce NOW membership.

Risks & concerns

  • Modern Warfare 4 is described as launching Oct. 22, but the release schedule lists Oct. 23 in the Call of Duty app.
  • GeForce NOW availability may lag store launches because announced games are onboarded throughout the week.
  • RTX 5080-class ray tracing requires an Ultimate membership rather than the lower Performance tier.
  • Amazon in-app membership purchases are rolling out only to existing supported Fire TV Stick users.
  • CONTROL Resonant and Crimson Desert are listed without release dates, leaving their precise GeForce NOW timing unspecified.
