In coming weeks, Lens in the Google app for Android and iOS will globally add English photo based coaching through AI Overviews, explaining steps, locating mistakes and continuing follow up questions in AI Mode alongside relevant websites. Notebooks, formerly NotebookLM and now called Gemini Notebook, are reaching AI Mode over coming days in more than 180 countries in English, excluding the European Economic Area. Users can combine, question and analyze slides, syllabi, web articles and earlier AI Mode threads, while existing Gemini Notebook and Gemini app notebooks sync sources and instructions across Google products. Local language support follows within weeks. AI Mode can also turn uploaded files or threads, including handwritten notes and lecture slides, into documents, presentations, spreadsheets and text files. This is globally available in English, with AI Overviews support coming soon and more formats planned.
