Summary

On October 22, 2026, Intero Biosystems was named Startup Battlefield 200 champion at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, winning the Disrupt Cup and $100,000 equity-free. Organizers chose 200 startups from thousands of applicants for three days of live pitches and demonstrations, then narrowed 20 finalists to five. Apate finished runner-up.

Showcase Stage pitch winners were Lola Vision Systems, developing AI sensor fusion, secure communications and real-time inference on existing hardware, with custom silicon planned; Krokos Bio, starting with cheaper, more reliable saffron cultivation; Rein Security, protecting custom enterprise AI agents; Lumai, building optical computing for AI inference; Uhura Bionics, creating a bionic larynx for singing, laughter and emotional translation; and Maka, producing AI-powered, developmentally curated children’s shows. Legali AI won best booth for founder Ira Puteri’s pink presentation of a trauma-informed legal companion serving the middle class, AI-native firms and women who have experienced abuse.

Ardook Data founder and CEO Shogher Atanesyan unanimously received the Spirit of Disrupt award. A 2023 volunteer, she requested a standalone Social Impact category in 2025 and applied months later with a marketplace selling household training data from willing, paid caregivers to physical AI and robotics companies. She organized dozens of student booth volunteers, routed shipments through her home to reduce costs, hosted founders and supported them through Discord and weekly calls. The program also connected startups with investors, prospective customers and peers.
