Summary

On Oct. 14, 2026, NVIDIA detailed physical and agentic AI projects spanning Belgium, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and the U.K. Cosmos, the Metropolis Blueprint for video search and summarization, Nemotron, Omniverse and accelerated computing help agents analyze video and data, answer naturally and operate digital twins. Software partners include ABA Technology, Akila, Galene AI, Honeywell Technologies, K2K, Linker Vision, Milestone, Onetera, ThinkDeep and Younite. K2K is exploring AI factories for Liverpool City Region, Jersey and Innovation City Belfast, targeting planning, mobility, safety, clean energy, public services and event response. Côte-d’Or, Akila and ThinkDeep cover more than 500 public buildings with a sovereign twin that cut document searches from weeks to minutes and operating costs 10%, targeting 30% at scale. ThinkDeep also analyzes cargo, safety and hazardous materials at Port Sud de France in Sète.

Galene.AI, Dell Technologies and TD Synnex are deploying a locally operated AI factory in Cinisello Balsamo, with four more Milan municipalities planned, providing translation, chatbots, procurement and funding support while reducing municipal data access from hours to seconds. Milestone and Dell are testing synthetic data, Cosmos and VSS for oil spill warnings at Port of Antwerp-Bruges. Younite is developing a Gothenburg Omniverse twin under the EU Citiverse initiative for entrance, seating and crowd previews. Honeywell is deploying Forge Cognition at Dubai Fairmont Hotel. Cisco, Dell, HPE, Lenovo and Supermicro package local AI factories, Nebius and Net Zero Compute support deployment, and EY and Accenture integrate city systems. Expansion could include Wroclaw. NVIDIA will showcase the ecosystem at Barcelona’s Smart City Expo World Congress, Nov. 3 to 5.

Positives

  • Côte-d’Or’s agents cut document searches from weeks to minutes and operating costs 10% across more than 500 public buildings.
  • Galene.AI’s Cinisello Balsamo services aim to reduce municipal data access from hours to seconds while retaining local data governance.
  • K2K projects target mobility, safety, clean energy, planning and public services across Liverpool City Region, Jersey and Belfast.
  • Younite’s Gothenburg digital twin will preview entrances, seating and crowd conditions to improve accessibility before events.
  • Cisco, Dell, HPE, Lenovo and Supermicro are packaging locally operated AI factories that let cities control data, models and operations.

Risks & concerns

  • Liverpool City Region, Innovation City Belfast and Port of Antwerp-Bruges remain exploratory or testing projects rather than established daily operations.
  • Côte-d’Or’s 30% operating cost reduction remains a scale target, compared with the 10% reduction achieved so far.
  • Galene.AI’s expansion beyond Cinisello Balsamo to four additional Milan municipalities is planned but not yet completed.
  • Scarce real incident data requires Port of Antwerp-Bruges to train oil spill warning models with synthetic data.
  • European cities still need local infrastructure, customized models and systems integration before pilots can become routine operations.
