NVIDIA Expands Real-Time AI for Broadcast, Sports and Streaming at IBC 2026
NVIDIA expands AI for Media at IBC 2026 with synthetic-video detection, sports intelligence, live localization and software-defined production worldwide.

On Sept. 9, ahead of Amsterdam’s IBC 2026, Sept. 11 to 14, NVIDIA expanded AI for Media as the show prepared for 44,000 attendees from 170-plus countries, 1,300-plus exhibitions and 600 speakers. NVIDIA Synthetic Video Detector NIM reached 99.3% accuracy on text-to-video and 97.7% on image-to-video footage. Dalet is adding SVD to secure cloud news verification, TwelveLabs launched Compliance by TwelveLabs with frame-level authenticity scores, and Wowza will distribute SVD through Video Intelligence Framework for real-time live analysis across on-premises, edge, cloud, hybrid and air-gapped deployments. Wowza Streaming Engine powers over 35,000 deployments in more than 170 countries.
NVIDIA 3D Body Pose derives 2D and 3D joint positions and angles from one camera for sports analysis, officiating, safety, animation and virtual production; Vizrt uses it for live virtual-studio lighting. Video Frame Generation inserts AI-generated frames at 2x or 4x rates; Ross Video is integrating it into Rio Replay for 6x slow motion, with 8x interpolation in development. Video Super Resolution adds adjustable streaming modes, 10-bit support and artifact reduction, while TrueHDR converts SDR in real time to about 2,000 nits. VSR, VFG and TrueHDR can run in one effects pipeline.
Holoscan for Media integrates Media Exchange Layer for distributed video, audio and data, while Content Localization combines captions, translated audio, dubbing, synchronized video and graphics using improved LipSync and Active Speaker Detection. NDI, AI-Media, CAMB.AI, Chyron and Panjaya are participating; Studio Voice adds Microphone Profiles. Sports Intelligence Playbooks use Nemotron, NeMo AutoModel, Megatron Bridge, NIM and accelerated computing to tune proprietary sports data, raising unseen-footage accuracy from about 53% to 94% for multiple choice and 5.7% to 66% for open responses. Machina Sports is integrating the playbooks, Wowza is tuning Cosmos 3 and Nemotron, and AI-Q can deploy sports models inside agents.
