NVIDIA RTX Spark Laptops Add Local AI Tools, DLSS 4.5 and RTX Remix
NVIDIA RTX Spark laptops start at $2,599, adding open local AI models, GPU controls, RTX Remix 1.6 and DLSS 4.5 gaming for developers, creators and gamers.
Summary
RTX Spark laptops are available from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI, starting at $2,599 with 128GB configurations. A Blackwell RTX GPU, Grace CPU and up to 128GB of unified memory share one power-efficient superchip, delivering up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance in Windows designs as thin as 14mm and light as three pounds, with all-day battery life. Developers get CUDA and deployment across more than 150 million RTX AI PCs and cloud GPUs. Creators can edit camera-native 4:2:2 video and render 3D scenes up to 90GB, with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere support in beta. Hundreds of games support DLSS, ray tracing, Reflex and G-SYNC.
Released October 28, 2026, open-weight Nemotron 3.5 Transcribe combines transcription, speaker attribution, translation and audio questions across 40 languages, including seven Indic languages. Its roughly 4.3 billion active parameters are 80% fewer than the leading open-weight rival; it ranks No. 1 on Hugging Face Open ASR and No. 2 among open-weight models on Artificial Analysis. BF16, FP8 and NVFP4 versions support RTX Spark, DGX Spark, Jetson AGX Thor and GeForce RTX 5090. NVIDIA App now divides GPU capacity between foreground apps and background agents. Liquid AI’s open LFM3 text, vision, audio, omni and decision models gain day-zero RTX Spark support through llama.cpp and vLLM; its 1.7-billion-parameter base model beats its previous 2.6-billion-parameter model.
S-GAME’s Phantom Blade Zero launches October 28 at 7 p.m. PT on Steam and Epic Games Store with ray tracing and DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation up to 6x. RTX Remix 1.6 supports Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1 with path tracing, DLSS 5 3D-Guided Neural Rendering, up to 6x generation and agent-assisted workflows. Portal with RTX and the Half-Life 2 RTX demo gain those upgrades, while redesigned ComfyUI adds no-API material generation, batching and presets.
Positives
- Up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance and 128GB of unified memory bring workstation-class local AI capacity to three-pound laptops.
- Nemotron 3.5 Transcribe handles transcription, speaker attribution, translation and audio questions across 40 languages with one promptable model.
- Roughly 4.3 billion active parameters give Nemotron 3.5 Transcribe leading Open ASR accuracy with 80% fewer parameters than its top open-weight rival.
- Liquid AI’s 1.7-billion-parameter LFM3 base model outperforms the company’s previous 2.6-billion-parameter model.
- DLSS 4.5 and RTX Remix 1.6 extend advanced rendering to Phantom Blade Zero, Minecraft, Portal with RTX and Half-Life 2 RTX.
Risks & concerns
- $2,599 is the starting price for RTX Spark laptops, positioning them firmly in the premium Windows market.
- Adobe Photoshop and Premiere support remains in beta rather than a final production release.
- NVIDIA App resource sharing requires hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling to be enabled in Windows Settings.
- RTX Remix support currently specifies Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1 rather than every Minecraft version.
- NVFP4 Nemotron deployment is limited to the supported NeMo-Speech.cpp or vLLM routes described by NVIDIA.
