Summary

Adobe announced Monday that, as of September 2, 2026, customers can use Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock, Lightroom and other apps through Slackbot. More than 70 tools are slated for Slack through the Adobe for Slack MCP app. Business+ and Enterprise+ teams can describe a task, letting Slackbot select an Adobe tool and use context from conversations or Canvas to produce PDFs, images and videos. Users can also import and edit previous campaign materials or Creative Cloud assets without leaving a chat.

Adobe's Deepti Pradeep, Senior Director for Agentic AI, said customers use its tools inside other apps for repeatable workflows such as batch-editing images and resizing creatives. Focus groups valued faster results, less step-by-step supervision and access within existing workplaces. Adobe introduced a ChatGPT integration in August 2026 and plans a Gemini version, while Canva and Figma offer capabilities through ChatGPT and Claude. Anthropic is also tightening Slack integrations because conversations capture team context. Adobe argues its advantage is combining creative and productivity tools across multiple formats.

Positives

  • More than 70 Adobe tools are slated to become accessible through the Adobe for Slack MCP app.
  • Business+ and Enterprise+ teams can create PDFs, images and videos from Slack conversations or Canvas content.
  • Creative Cloud and previous campaign assets can be imported into chats and edited without changing applications.
  • Batch image editing and creative resizing support repeatable workflows inside applications customers already use.
  • ChatGPT integration arrived in August 2026, with a Gemini integration planned next.

Risks & concerns

  • Business+ and Enterprise+ customers are the only Slack teams receiving access at launch.
  • Gemini integration remains planned without a stated launch date.
