Automattic Launches Mesh Personal CRM on Android With Nexus AI
Automattic launches Mesh on Android with cross-device sync, Beeper links, private contact management and early-access Nexus AI for up to 1,000 personal contacts.

On August 12, 2026, WordPress.com parent Automattic launched Mesh, formerly Clay, on Android after acquiring the personal CRM last year. Mesh privately maps personal and professional networks, adds contact notes and schedules outreach reminders. The free Google Play download, with in-app purchases, is rolling out to phones, tablets and foldables with split-screen and pop-up views, keyboard shortcuts, in-app search, wallpaper-matched Material You widgets and real-time device sync.
Mesh already lets users draft texts in Automattic’s all-in-one messenger Beeper and follow deep links to Mesh profiles. Beeper connects WhatsApp, Instagram, Signal, Messenger, X, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, Google Messages and other services; Automattic plans tighter integration and more AI tools. Early-access Nexus AI answers network questions about company contacts, city residents and subject expertise, while voice-based hands-free use and improved business-card scanning remain experiments. Co-founder Zachary Hamed said some users manage 10,000, 20,000 or 50,000 connections across social and work apps.
Subscriptions fund Mesh, which says it neither shares personal information nor uses it for ad targeting. Service is free for up to 1,000 contacts, with paid tiers for unlimited contacts and other features. Around 70% of customers use Mesh for business; co-founder Matthew Achariam identifies executives with large teams or tight networks as its strongest market, while requiring features to serve consumers too. A Beeper or broader Automattic bundle is under consideration, but none has been announced.
